⁴ and to Isaac I gave Jacob and Esau.^(A) I gave the hill country of Seir to Esau as a possession,^(B) but Jacob and his sons went down to Egypt.^(C)

⁵ “‘Then I sent Moses and Aaron;^(D) I plagued Egypt by what I did there and afterward I brought you out. ⁶ When I brought your fathers out of Egypt and you reached the Red Sea,^(E) the Egyptians pursued your fathers with chariots and horsemen as far as the sea.
